Welcome to Grangewood Lodge
Opened as a residential home in 1988 by Mr J.F.Fisher, Grangewood Lodge is the result of skilful conversion of a Georgian period country lodge and adjoining coach house and stables. A further purpose built wing has been added to provide in all, 26 single rooms (19 en suite) and 2 ensuite companion rooms; all mainly at GROUND FLOOR LEVEL (6 rooms only on the first floor). Set idyllically in the quiet countryside of South Derbyshire but close to the villages of Overseal, Netherseal and Lullington the home stands within 5 acres of it's own grounds and mature gardens. Special features include a Victorian walled garden with patio area, a dovecote and residents walk ( with hand rail) for the more energetic and a nature reserve where our wild bird sanctuary is under continual development.
Grangewood Lodge presents a picture of an old country manor and leasured life style offering care, comfort and security to all who live there. Furnished and well equipped in a style that reflects the period atmosphere of the main property with continually upgraded decoration and facilities this frequently recommended home offers a relaxed, friendly and homely environment, comfortable and spacious accommodation and most important of all, good quality care from experienced and professionally trained staff.
In August 2008 the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) awarded their highest rating of "Three Star Excellent" for the quality of services offered at Grangewood Ladge.
